This fall, Mike Herriott brings Tales of Tricksters and Vagabonds to the stage on a six-show Canadian tour, crossing the country from Vancouver to Montréal. Backed by a brass-and-rhythm ensemble evoking the spirit of Rob McConnell’s Boss Brass — no saxophones, all swagger — the program pairs music from Isn’t Life Grand with the complete Tales of Tricksters and Vagabonds Suite, six portraits of literature’s most unforgettable rogues and dreamers.
